Our mothers gave us life, they nurture us and they worry for us. It is often said that mothers are angels in training. Yet how many times do we thank them? Although most of us have good relationships with our mothers, some people do not, and if this is the case, then there is a mother who nurtures you and all of us for that matter for she is the earth mother. Goddess worship predates the patriarchal religions so honouring our mother is nothing new.

Use this spell to create a charm for your mother to show how grateful you are.

Buy your mother a gift of jewellery, bookmark, or something that she can wear or see every day. Hold it in your hand and say these words over it:

            You kept me safe and loved.

            And forever watch over me.

            Thank you mother Blessed be.

Every time your mother wears it or looks at the object she will know how grateful you are to her. If you do not have a mother for any reason, then equally show your gratitude to the mother earth and bury a seed or plant in the ground to show your gratitude to the universe.
