CITRINE FOR YOUR MUM
Julia Long from The Angel Shop (theangelshop.co.uk) would choose the stone of abundance for her mother.
“In many ways, this is the very best stone for attracting abundance. It promotes joy, happiness and prosperity, and is very useful for those who are feeling down.
“Like the sun’s glorious, fiery energy, this stunning golden-orange stone immediately brings an uplifting feeling and warmth. Citrine is also used for financial abundance. Mix it with some clear quartz and nephrite jade on a crystal grid to put positive financial intentions out in the Universe.
“Of all the stones, I would choose those that ensure that my mum is happy, full of joy and financially secure. Citrine ticks all those boxes, and it would be gifted with much love to the best mum in the world!”
ROSE QUARTZ FOR AN OLD FRIEND
Clive Carter from Nature’s Treasure (naturestreasuresdorset.co.uk) would choose a variety of crystals for his best friend.
“Rosie has been a great friend for more than 15 years now, and from the first time we met, we both felt a great spiritual connection. If I had to pick a few crystals to give to Rosie, the first I would choose would be rose quartz; this would be my way to remind her to love herself.
“The second crystal would be a nice piece of labradorite – the best stone for self-protection. Labradorite has mainly green and grey colours but also intense flashes of blues, reds and purples. It’s seen at its best in moving light, when the crystal will reflect back any form of negativity to the person trying to unload it onto Rosie, eventually dissolving it. She is a fantastic listener and friend to most, but will undoubtedly be burdened with the problems of others. Labradorite will help prevent her from holding on to these, and allow her to help others with a clear and open mind.
“Last but not least, I’d choose a large double-terminated smoky quartz point for my dear friend. Smoky quartz is a great grounding crystal, so it will keep Rosie’s feet on the earth and her head out of the clouds, enabling clear and rational thought, which we all need in this time of uncertainty. It will also heal old wounds, particularly emotional ones, so I would give this in the hope that it will stop Rosie blaming herself for things said or done to her
by others. It’s important that it’s a double-terminated piece, as points on both ends will enable the giving and receiving of its energies.”
AMETHYST, MOONSTONE AND QUARTZ FOR CHILDREN
Annie Wilkinson-Gill from The Crystal Buddha (thecrystalbuddha.com) would choose a variety of crystals for the young people in your life. “As a mother of three, I find crystals an effective and simple way to help my children overcome daily obstacles. Children often have a natural connection to the mineral kingdom, experiencing the subtle energies of
crystals easily. Gifting them a crystal is the perfect way to help them with
the daily challenges they may face at school. Just be careful not to leave
very young children unattended with crystals due to the choking hazard; it’s best in jewellery, for that reason. With older children, having a crystal in their pocket is a wonderful way in which they can feel connected to you,
grounded and reassured.
“I have given my children a little pouch with a variety of crystals. I include
amethyst, as it is known for bringing emotional assistance and a calming
energy. It will help your child connect with their higher self and trust in their own intuition.
“Moonstone brings with it a flash of blue colour; this allows your children to believe in and connect with the magic of the stones themselves. It has balancing properties, and is perfect for stabilising emotions and bringing calm.
“Quartz is a master healer – not only will it amplify the intended use of
the other crystals, but it also helps to eliminate negative energy, making your children feel comfortable and confident in dealing with the day ahead.”
LINARITE FOR FRIENDS IN NEED
Keith Birch from KSC Crystal (ksccrystals.com) says: “Linarite is a perfect gift for a friend experiencing any kind of difficulty. The ‘Stone of Ability’, it opens us up to the wonders of self-recognition and self-ability. Linarite has an immensely deep and unique energy that is wise in its aura. This is a stone that settles and calms fragile souls, increasing the inner and outer flow within the heart’s energy centre, bringing forth a sense of self-love as well as allowing us to see love in all surrounding life.
“Linarite is a stone that helps us recognise our own abilities, and how these
can be used to better ourselves. It refreshes and awakens the mind, body and spirit to the greater awareness and knowledge within all beings. It is a key to a brighter and more clarified future. Linarite also helps us feel comfortable with our own abilities and limitations in life. It encourages us to accept and understand where there are lines, and why they are there.
“This stone allows us time and space to recognise ourselves. It helps us to accept our differences to other beings on any level, be it physically, emotionally or mentally. Linarite’s offerings are intended for anyone, regardless of differences, wants, needs, hopes and dreams. It is the perfect talisman.”
