To celebrate the month of love, our gurus bring you their favourite pink crystals for an Instagram-worthy self-care session.
There are so many more beautiful pink crystals than just rose quartz to bring love into your life. Some crystals will bring out the best in you and fill you up with self-confidence, others will draw you closer to your lover or partner. There are wonderful, simple rituals and affirmations you can perform to boost the effect of your crystals, too. Here is a selection of the finest pink crystals, just for you!
Mangano calcite to strengthen your bond
Clive Carter from Nature’s Treasures Shaftesbury, call 01741 852 709 or visit the shop on Facebook
“Most healers will recommend rose quartz when asked for a crystal to promote love. Its beautiful vivid pink is the perfect colour to get deep into your heart and bring out the warmth in your relationship.
“But, before you go to the heart, you need to open the heart chakra, which will enable you to both give and receive love. The finest crystal to help you open your heart chakra is green aventurine. Hold it in your left hand and think about your loved one. The pale green of the aventurine matches the colour of your heart chakra and will remove the hurt that has been blocking this chakra.
“Next bring out the love in your relationship with a beautiful piece of mangano calcite – another pink stone, but a paler more subtle kind of pink, with wavy white or cream bands. This is a more gentle stone that will slowly and steadily increase the bond of love in your relationship. It will also bring you the self-confidence to feel comfortable in your own body and to be yourself. It will open your mind, free you from inhibitions and allow you to love with all your heart and receive love freely.”
A story to lift your spirits
Aventurine to open your heart chakra, from Clive Carter
“A customer, a very spiritual lady, once came into Nature’s Treasures asking for a piece of lilac kunzite, which we quickly found for her. She explained that her spirit guides had told her she needed this crystal to say her heartfelt goodbyes to her recently departed father.
“She held the kunzite for some time, feeling nothing from it. She dowsed it and her pendulum told her this was the correct crystal for her, for this very thing. Still she could not feel it was having any effect on her or her emotions. At this point, I handed her a green aventurine palm stone, placing it in her left hand. Within two minutes she slowly started to shed a few tears and agreed that she now could feel the effect of the kunzite letting her father’s spirit go on with her love and blessings into the afterlife. She could not believe that the aventurine had enabled the kunzite to work so quickly.
“I explained to her that the aventurine unblocked the heart chakra, which in turn allowed the kunzite into her heart to soothe the passing of her father. It also cut all old ties of family disagreements from the past, and this allowed him to enter the afterlife unburdened.
“The lesson from this story is that no matter how knowledgeable you are in working with crystals and other holistic remedies, if any of your chakras are blocked and you are unable to see or feel the effect, then your usual go-to crystal may not work until you cleanse and align the chakras to let the healing in. Look after your chakras; they are so important in giving and receiving any form of healing.”
Morganite (pink beryl) for self-love
Freya Fulbrook-Cook from Freya’s Cauldron (freyascauldron.co.uk) says:
“Self-love is important for your own wellbeing and for being able to pass love on to others. My go-to crystal for a little self-love magic is morganite, which is a beautiful pinkish stone that is said to have been named after American banker J.P. Morgan, who was interested in magic and minerals.
“This stone is known as a crystal of divine love, and its warming vibrations bring healing, compassion and strength, all important in our quest for self-love!
“We all need a little boost now and again when we start to feel a little low, so when you feel your self-love is waning, here is a simple spell to use to lift your inner worth.
“Light a pink or white candle and hold a piece of morganite in your dominant hand (normally the one you write with), placing it over your heart. Recite the following:
I am powerful, I am strong
I love and accept myself unconditionally
I radiate love and respect
I accept love and respect in return
So shall it be
“Extinguish the candle and carry the morganite with you, or place it in a prominent place so it can remind you of your affirmation.”
Rhodonite to balance your emotions
Keith Birch from KSC Crystals (ksccrystals.com) says:
“Like most pink crystals, rhodonite holds the vibration of love as well as a strong energy of compassion and generosity. It helps you discover your natural gifts and how they can be used to assist others.
“When meditating with rhodonite, it helps with our intuition and promotes self-confidence, refinement, gracefulness, courtesy, tact and inner growth. Rhodonite is known for its ability to bring emotional healing and to release blocked energy from the heart chakra and balance your emotions. This energy will intensify acceptance, forgiveness and unconditional love towards others. This will become a very attractive trait, distinguishing your qualities and character.
“If you carry a piece of rhodonite in your pocket and hold onto it when you are in the company of someone you are attracted to, it will also remind you of the qualities you are trying to adopt.”
Pink tourmaline brings unconditional love
Annie Wilkinson-Gill from The Crystal Buddha (thecrystalbuddha.com) says:
“Just like rose quartz, pink tourmaline is a beautiful heart-based crystal associated with feminine energy and the divine goddess within. It aids the energetic flow of love to fill your life and has a gorgeous uplifting energy and gentle vibration that brings compassion. It’s said to help you heal from any emotional trauma, bringing with it unconditional love. Pink tourmaline is the perfect crystal for cleansing and clearing the emotional body of any destructive feelings and releasing any guilt, worry or negativity.
“For me, pink tourmaline has a beautiful, soothing and nurturing energy, allowing you to be gentle with yourself and enable you to let any emotional barriers slip away. You’ll be able to let love in and feel able to love comfortably without the nervous energy that may have once stopped you. It also guides all these emotions into self-love, self-worth and is an incredibly empowering stone.
“Pink tourmaline is a stone that should be placed in the home or carried around with you. It is a great stone for the entrance to your home as it will bring only love to your door. In the bedroom it will complement romantic relationships, and carried on your person it will both protect the heart and vibrate a light, loving energy.”
Pink opal for hope
Helen Gould from The Candle Co (etsy.com/uk/shop/TheCandleCoLtd) says:
“Pink opal crystals are quite often overlooked in matters of love, opening your heart and healing emotional wounds. This beautiful and powerful crystal is sometimes also referred to as the stone of hope (for love and good fortune) or the stone of resolution (for healing).
“This crystal is perfect for holding in the palm of the hand whilst in a meditative state, as the vibrations from the crystal open the heart chakra, allowing empathy and healing to come to the surface.
“Another form of working with this crystal is to set up a crystal grid, which will release healing energy vibrations as a way of helping renew your connection between the self and the Divine.
“Opals in general resonate best with water; they look great in the bathroom not only as a practical display, but as a useful vibration enhancement in being near to running water.
“This crystal also harmonises very well with rose quartz, which makes for a great powerhouse combination for attracting an abundance of love and happiness into your home.”
