Stir Up The Passion With Silja & The Power Of Peppercorns

Stir up the passion with some powerful peppercorns… Kitchen witch Silja shows you how
Peppercorns and ground pepper are often used in the kitchen with little thought, but they are also believed to be spices of well-being, and are used to rebalance the chakras, rid the body of dis-ease and congestion. They are also said to aid digestion, and peppercorns are a potent magical spice, as their differing colours, cheap pricing and easy availability make them very versatile for use in a variety of spells.
The 21st March 2018 is the spring equinox, a major witchy festival, as day and night are the same length. This is a great time to find balance in your life. To gain balance for a specific issue that’s troubling you, keep nine white and nine black peppercorns together with something symbolising the problem (for example, a photo of your two children (if they always argue), or your work contract, (if you need a better work-life balance). To encourage a more balanced life in general, pour white and black pepper into a dish to make a yin-yang symbol and keep it on your altar or a window sill.
SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!
Pepper is mentioned as a spice as early as 2000BC in India and Egypt, with peppercorns having been found stuffed in the nose of Ramses the Great when he was mummified. It’s also recommended in an ancient Arabic sex manual as an aphrodisiac. Peppercorns were also often used as a currency – Attila demanded 3,000 pounds of pepper in ransom for the city of Rome.
Useful spells and magic with pepper
• Sprinkle some pepper around you or on your altar to add more magical energy to any ritual or spell as you perform it. Choose an appropriate colour such as white pepper for general energy and peace, red for passion, pink for romantic love, black for solving conflicts and banishing negativity and green for finances and business success.
• Black pepper is an aphrodisiac, often paired with red pepper for virility and passion. If you want a fun night with your partner, sprinkle some over food while chanting: “Love and passion we will find, with these words, this spell I bind!”
• If you are struggling with jealousy – either of others, or others of you, sprinkle a pinch of black pepper around you before you leave your home in the morning. As the pepper falls to the ground, visualise the jealous thoughts in your head and negative opinions of others falling away too, to be absorbed by Mother Nature.
• Make a rub with black pepper, coarse salt and vinegar as a potent protective and anti-negativity bad luck magical mix. Spread some around fence posts to protect your home, or rub a small amount in your hands before washing off.
DID YOU KNOW?
If burned, red peppercorns are considered a deterrent against supernatural creatures – especially werewolves and vampires. They can also help expel demons and negativity (according to mythology). It is said that burning some red pepper in your fireplace or roasting some in a frying pan can help ward off the evil eye if you have a relative or acquaintance visiting who you think wishes bad fortune on you. You can also sprinkle some of the burned red pepper into a dish and place it under your bed to ward off nightmares.
