Putting pen to paper is a simple and effective way to nurture self-love, says life coach, hypnotherapist and best-selling author, Camilla Sacre-Dallerup
Writing a love letter to someone we really like is pretty easy, so why does it feel so hard and almost silly to write one to ourselves? As easy as it can be to say nice things to others and compliment them, it can be difficult to express them to ourselves. Yet it is so important because your opinion of
yourself matters – in fact, it matters more than anyone else’s.
If you’ve never written a love letter to yourself, now is the time to try! Use this letter as an opportunity to tell yourself all the nice things you would like someone else to tell you.
It’s going to mean even more coming from you, because this is a true act of self-love and because we both know it doesn’t matter what other people tell us unless we believe it ourselves. This is why relying on outside validation is not sustainable.
Writing yourself a love letter is a powerful exercise. It allows you to show tenderness and care towards yourself and helps you to see your true beauty. Give it a go!
