Mindest coach Erin Newman reveals how to use affirmations to manifest what you need
Your beliefs about everything in life, especially money, might
be taking a big hit. As Covid-19 has changed our lives beyond recognition, it may feel like your current and future earnings are totally up in the air, which can be stressful and overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be this way – affirmations can help change your mindset.
So, first things first, do affirmations even work? That’s what most people really want to know. And here’s the deal with affirmations – they only work if your subconscious also believes them.
When using affirmations, then, it’s important to see what is creating mental blocks in your mind to stop you from achieving your goals. You can simultaneously work on changing these subconscious beliefs or simply keep repeating the affirmation until your subconscious accepts the new belief as truth. After all, if we tell ourselves something enough we soon start to believe it..
How to use affirmations
You’ve probably heard about a million ways to utilise affirmations by now – some people write them on post-it notes or make a recording of their voice repeating them, while others jot them down in their diary or say the phrase to themselves in the mirror. My favourite way to make the words stick is to write one affirmation down on a piece of paper over and over again each morning. I like to really notice the good feeling of the affirmation while doing this and allow it to take over my mind and body.
