We all know what happens when we get self love wrong. Our moods fly off the handle, our chakras get our of whack, we rock our best resting b@$!h face, our energy levels flat line, and everything just generally becomes too much to handle! Sound familiar?
Thanks to the self-love gurus such as Louise Hay, Cheryl Richardson, and Oprah there is a list of symptoms out there to let us know when our self love is run down. I like to call this stage of self love at the end of the line, like self love suicide. Ironically, self love is all about the positive things we can be doing for ourselves, go figure. So let’s ditch the negative talk about symptoms and what not to do, and focus on what we are doing right!

You can feel the benefits of alignment
When your energy is grounded and aligned it is the equivalent to having unblocked pipes -straight, clear, clean so everything can flow freely through you, energy, love, and nutrients. Self love alignment can be as simple as an Epsom salt bath, a chakra balancing meditation, a swim in salt water, a reiki or chakra balancing session, or simply standing barefoot on the earth and embracing a series of aligning yoga poses like tree pose, triangle pose, and warrior pose.
Getting your self love in line when you make it a priority can be as quick as ticking off one of these self love rituals. When you get your alignment right you feel like a toddler on a sugar high – liberated, wired, and keen to play, in life! #PlayTime

You learn the power of affirmation
If you have not seen this YouTube video of the little girl giving herself affirmations in the mirror, I urge you to take a look. I promise you it will get stuck in your head. And there is nothing better for your self love than an affirmation being stuck in your head.
The cool thing about positive affirmations is that it could be as simple and as catchy as a Katy Perry or Taylor Swift tune. Because let’s be honest, “baby you’re a firework’ and if it ain’t in the name of self love “shake it off!” When you have self love on repeat in your inner mental playlist – affirmations are as easy as tuning in, and turning up the volume. #TurnItUp

Your attitude shifts
Time to fess up: have you mastered the art of a resting b@&$! face? Do you snap at people you care about. Are you easily irritated? Sensitive? Defensive? Paranoid? When your self love is in check your attitude can still have its highs and it’s lows (after all, we are human) but you will be more aware of it, conscious, and awake.
By observing your attitude you become more in tune with other peoples energy, reading situations more alertly, and most importantly learning more from every experience presented to you in your day. You’ll have your finger on your self love pulse and be able to take anything the day has to throw at you in your stride. #AttitudeAlert

You become a magnet for attraction
What’s on your self love shopping list? Eggs, spam, and tea bags. Or glitter, candles and cupcakes. The key to attraction is asking, thinking about and most importantly getting what you want from your life.
People who are in touch with the perks of self love have the fun shopping list. They have made the time to write out the cool stuff they’d love in life, made time to go and get it – and then, quite simply, gone and got it! So, make a list for yourself, and then start ticking it off. Self love – tick! #ShoppingCartFull

Like a sneeze to a cold, self love warning signs come fast and steady so it’s important you are aware when you are out of alignment, affirming to yourself when you need more self love, have a positive attitude towards things that get thrown at you throughout your day, and attract more self loving experiences into your life.
