Angels are beings of love and peace that vibrate on a higher level to human beings. We can call on them for guidance and support. But are our loved ones who have passed on also angels now? Do angels really have wings and why do we see signs from the angels? All these questions and more are answered here, so read on!

Q: Is my loved one in spirit my guardian angel?

When a loved one dies they continue to guide, love and support us, albeit from the spiritual realm. However, they are different from angels. Angels are celestial beings who generally have not incarnated onto the earth. They reside in a high vibrational frequency of pure love energy. As your loved ones have been human, they don’t become angels, although they can act in a similar way by continuing to leave signs and to love and protect you.

Q: Do my angels have a gender and a name?

These are earthly, human concepts, which angels do not require because they don’t have a physical body. However, many angels will resonate with a particular masculine and feminine energy and name. For example, we think of Archangel Michael as holding the energy that we associate with masculine traits. There is now awareness of the Archeiai, a feminine angelic twinflame of the male Archangels. The angels know that it helps us to strengthen a connection by giving them names, so often if we quieten our mind and ask our guardian angel, they will give us a name.

Q: Do angels have wings? What do they look like?

Angels are often depicted from history and in works of arts as having wings and sitting on clouds. The notion of wings may have come from the idea that angels were seen as messengers of God. Angels are not limited in their appearance and do not always appear to us in physical form. They can present themselves in many different ways such as orbs of light, sparkles of colour or different shaped beings. One thing is certain: they radiate a beautiful pure love energy that vibrates at a much higher frequency than human form.

Q: What is an earth angel?

Earth angel describes humans who may be very empathetic and hold lightworker qualities and want to be of service in the world. Unlike divine angels, who do not hold a bodily form, they live out an earthly life just like you or I. They may have qualities of compassion and service that share angelic characteristics, but they are not angels. However, they tend to be more spiritually evolved than other humans. They may be here for an important mission, to help awaken others, and wish to bring peace and light to the Earth.

Q: Do I really have a guardian angel?

Yes! Every single person has at least one guardian angel that stays with them through their entire incarnation. Alongside your own personal guardian angels, there are other groups of angels who can help in a variety of ways. Your guardian angels always work for your highest and greatest good and they are loving and non-judgmental. You can build a connection with your guardian angel and get to know them as you would a friend.

Q: What are repetitive numbers? Why do I keep seeing them?

The angels communicate in a variety of different ways and will often leave us signs and symbols that can hold a meaning. Angel numbers are a series of typically repetitive numbers, which will show themselves to you often multiple times. These numbers hold a specific vibration. They often appear if you’ve been asking for a sign or you need more guidance and support, or as a reminder to focus on positive thoughts. So if you are noticing 11:11, 111 or similar on a regular basis, take time to meditate and connect to what this personal meaning holds for you.

Q: Should I pray to the angels?

Many people worry that they shouldn’t be directly praying to the angels. It’s important to ask the angels to help and assist you in different areas of your life. The angels don’t want or request that you worship them. Rather, they are an available source of angelic light and guidance to support your path. If you feel uncomfortable with the wording of prayer, you can see your angel dialogue as requesting angelic assistance rather than praying to them.

Q: How do angel cards work? Is this really communicating with angels?

It’s easy for our ego to convince us that there is no real divine assistance in drawing cards. Angel cards are a tool that can allow you to connect with your own higher wisdom whilst being guided by the angelic realm. In other words it’s a combination of both! We can invoke the angels to help bring forth wisdom as we shuffle the cards. They can help illuminate our minds for difficult decisions and support us in areas where we need divine guidance. Angel cards help you tap into this wisdom and empower you to transform it into guidance.

Q: Do I have to have an angel space to communicate with them?

No. Communication with the angelic realm is a lot more simple than people think. It just involves talking to them, whether that’s an internal dialogue or out loud. As the angels vibrate on a much higher frequency it can be useful to create an environment in which it is easier to feel and sense their presence. I encourage people to create a small space, this can be a shelf, bedside table or something bigger. Filling this space with things that raise your vibration such as crystals, incense, figurines and other angelic artwork can help. However the angelic realm does not need any complex rituals or objects. Simply holding the intention to connect with your angel and asking for their assistance is enough!

Q: Can the angels help me at the same time as other people?

Yes! The angels are not limited by the same time and space restrictions that we experience here on earth. There is a whole abundance of angels available for everyone, so never think that they are too busy to call upon or ask for help. You can call upon the archangels, your own guardian angels or different groups of angels. Some hold different specialities, such as ‘romance angels’ or ‘healing angels’. Simply saying “Angels, help me!” in your mind or out loud is enough and they will be with you instantly.

It’s time to post your worries to the angelic realm – and this time, you won’t need a stamp! Often when we ask the angels for help, we can become too prescriptive with our expectations for how and when our prayers are answered. But the angels can see the bigger picture and have miraculous solutions for how to resolve dilemmas, if only we truly allow it.

Think back to a time when you wanted a resolution to a problem you were facing. Have you allowed yourself to surrender and released the problem or did you expect a certain outcome? By releasing the need to control the outcome you offload your worries, leaving you feeling lighter.

1. Sit in a quiet, comfortable position. Relax by taking three centring breaths, breathing in through your nose for three counts expanding your stomach. Then blow out through your mouth for a count of six.
2. Think about your worry or dilemma. There are two options to completing this, either by writing this down on a piece of paper or visualising yourself writing it with your eyes closed. It may be a decision you’re struggling to make, a situation creating anxiety or difficult emotions you’re experiencing. Next you need to seal this in an envelope. You may want to address it to the angelic realm or to your guardian angel.
3. With your eyes closed visualise a beautiful angelic post box in front of you. A sparkling bright royal blue postbox surrounded by angels. In the centre is a gap to send your letter away – a direct portal to the angelic realm.
4. Post your worries to the angels and as you do, affirm “I now release my worries to the angels. I release any expectation and allow the angels to miraculously resolve this situation for my greatest and highest good.” You can visualise yourself doing this or physically post the letter through your visualised angelic postbox.
5. Once this is done, take a step back, consciously releasing your worries. Thank the angels for their help and let them work their magic! You may also like to experiment with creating a real angelic worry postbox.
