Flutter into the angel and fairy world

Elemental expert Karen Kay shares the connection between fairies and angels and how you can work with them too

Fairies are guardians of the land and angels are guardians of people and places, so there is a divine crossover! I have always had a connection with angels, starting with the angelic inspiration to hold the UK’s first Angel Conference back in 1999 around the time of the solar eclipse. I felt the strong presence of Archangel Michael as he instructed me to hold the event, of course, I obliged and a beautiful gathering ensued.

For those who know me, you’ll also know that I had a very similar experience with the fairies when they too inspired me to hold the UK’s first fairy festival, known as the 3 Wishes Fairy Festival held at the magical time of midsummer in Cornwall. So, as you can tell, I am au fait with both fairies and angels and work with both in my daily life.

Unearth their connection

When I was writing my Oracle of the Fairies deck, I was very much inspired by the fairies, so when the ‘Ask for Help’ card was channeled, I was a little surprised to find that even fairies have guardian angels and that they can call on them for help. This brought me much comfort and reassured me of the divine fairy-angel connection.

Ask for angelic assistance

Angels are celestial beings who protect everyone and the fairies say that now is the time for you to ask for angelic help.
There are times in our lives when we need celestial assistance and that time may be now. Angels are omnipresent, non-denominational beings who can be called upon for help by anyone at any time for any kind of assistance.
Perhaps you’re very independent and feel that you can sort out everything and anything on your own, without help.

Fairies too are generally self-sufficient creatures and can usually deal with any challenges that might arise, but on occasion, even the fairies need a little divine intervention and may ask for an angelic helping hand. It makes perfect sense – if we humans can call on the angels, why wouldn’t the fairies ask for angelic intervention too? This card may be telling you that an angelic boost would be beneficial for you or someone you know at this time.

With this card, the fairies are encouraging you to call on a personal guardian angel to help you through any tricky situation you may be experiencing. The fairies will also sprinkle some fairy dust on you to give you some cheer and joy during challenging times, or even if you just need a fairy boost!

Be aware that sometimes fairies are referred to as the angels of nature, or nature angels, but they’re not celestial angels. The roles are very different from one another, though they sometimes meet somewhere in the middle.
Remember that there are no rules and that the angels are happy to work with fairies and humans alike when it’s for the highest good of all.

Meditate with angels and fairies

1 Close your eyes and visualise a circle of angels holding hands around you.
2 Feel the calming peaceful energy then visualise a circle of golden fairies holding hands around the angels.
3 You are now inside a double circle of angels and fairies with the most powerful healing and protective energies.
4 Next, call on your own personal guardian angel to stand with you.
5 Express anything that is on your mind or in your heart, anything you wish to share, to be revealed, released and healed.
6 The angels and fairies will lovingly take away any cares or concerns to leave you feeling more uplifted, lighter and brighter.
7 Stay is this feeling and space for as long as feels right. Then thank the fairies and angels before opening your eyes.
