Use rituals to connect with your past, present, and future…
Whether you’re a white witch celebrating Samhain or a Halloween junkie
with a love for tricks and treats, this is a wonderful time of year. This year there’s a full Hunter’s moon on 31st October, blessing us and our loved ones with abundance for the coming year. This is particularly special, as the next Halloween full moon won’t be until 2035.
2020 has been a challenging and stressful year and we’ve had to learn new ways of doing the most basic things. I hope you’ll join me this Halloween and embrace the rituals I practise.
Plant positive prayers like seeds
It’s easy to buy into the commercialism of Halloween and forget the history, myths and traditions of this sacred time. This year, my Star People and I are planting prayers of love and hope for others; especially those who have been most affected by lockdown. I’ll ask them to lead me to a chosen place in my garden, and then I’ll write down positive things I’d like to manifest for humankind in the coming year. Then, in the light of the full moon I’ll plant the prayers in the soil and ask Mother Earth to help them manifest. You can also light three white candles as you write down and plant your prayers. Each candle represents the past, present and future.
Hold a séance!
For those of you who are regular visitors to my Facebook page, you’ll know that I love to invite the Spirits in my home to come forward an communicate. On this special night, the veil between the two worlds is at its thinnest, making it an ideal time to talk to our loved ones in spirit. Sit with a few like-minded friends and invite Spirit to come forward. Light a candle, and when the flame flickers you’ll know Spirit is drawing near. A blue flame indicates you have an angel with you, and if your candle ‘pops and snaps’ then it’s said that your loved ones in spirit are trying to communicate with you.
Cast a spell for new beginnings
With a powerful Hunter’s full moon emitting its energy this Halloween, there really is no better time to ask for, believe in,and receive opportunities for bright new beginnings. Here’s how:
Sit outside in the light of the full moon on 31st October – you should see the moon in the sky as early as 4pm. Sit with your feet firmly planted on the earth, lift your face to the moon and say to yourself or out loud: “Divine Beloveds, Spirit Guides and Angels, in the light of this powerful full moon please dissolve the burdens and worries that I am carrying from the past. Grant me my wish for a new beginning in love, luck, and money. I believe you will make these changes for me. I receive them with an open heart. And so, it is”.
