We have an enormous untapped resource we can use in any situation, anywhere. What is this remarkable tool? It’s a magical source, sometimes coming back to us after a life-changing event such as a near death experience, the birth of a child or deep meditation. It’s our ability to listen to a deep voice from within − the power of our inner wisdom. Known as intuition and psychic awareness, psychics can sense or experience the history of a person or item, and sense things before they happen. They have ‘extrasensory perception’, and it is believed that every single person is born with it, but some of us forget we have it. However, there are ways of waking up this remarkable ability, and eating the right foods is said to be one way to harness the psychic powers you were born with!
Why use psychic powers?
With psychic powers, the rewards are believed to be immeasurable as it guides us through questions such as, ‘Is this person right for me?’ or ‘should I go for that job?’ Your logical brain can be really useful in supporting you when you have a decision to make − but it’s wonderful to know there’s a deeper knowing you can listen to, a real knowledge, that might take you further towards the life you want than your logical side. The good news is that you can apparently nourish and feed your psychic self. This way, you give yourself the perfect start to psychic well-being!
What food can do
It is said that food plays a critical part in determining your ability to tune in to your psychic ability. When you are tuned in, you will be in harmony with your surroundings and your life. You bolster your spirit and this gives you that magical feeling when you need assistance or help in making a decision. You may also notice spontaneous flashes of wisdom being part of your daily existence, and this in itself brings you closer to those around you. Remember, it is said that every food has an energy, so choose carefully!
Foods that have been exposed to sunlight while they were growing bring light directly to you. More light means you can ‘see’ more with your inner eye. Our cells absorb the light, helping our psychic self grow in confidence and energy. Go organic whenever you can, as heavily treated foods can apparently decrease your psychic ability. Fruits such as fresh berries, bananas, melon and pineapple are said to be great for nourishment, while watermelon is especially good as it helps rinse toxins from your body. The more toxins that are cleared out, the clearer you will be energetically. Before eating your fruit, hold it for a few moments in your hands, and tune into the fruit. You will feel whether it’s right to eat it or not. The way forward is to practice this sense of harmony with everything around you.
Again, if you can, go for organic. Spinach, kale, carrots and all of the colourful vegetables we are lucky enough to have in our supermarkets are great options. Artichokes are thought to have the ability to open up the heart chakra, for example. Onions are believed to get rid of anger – this is vital if you want to elevate your psychic self. Lettuce and other leafy greens are said to help us to connect to opportunities that we might otherwise miss.
These are so full of mystery and myths, they can’t help but assist on a psychic journey! These include garlic, honey, ginger, cayenne pepper and turmeric. Simply adding these to your food can really help you develop your psychic power – and not only that, but they really add flavour too!
Meat is best limited in your diet, or given up altogether if you can, as it can lower your psychic vibration. It is believed that many animals have suffered pain in being killed for food, so unless the animal has been lovingly and humanely reared, you might take on their fear or negative emotion yourself. Foods heavy with pesticides can also create unease with your psychic growth and inhibit its development.
Food is more than filling an empty tummy − it nourishes and protects us. It strengthens us and helps us find clarity in our lives. By using your intuition when deciding what to eat, you are believed to be strengthening your psychic ability. Good luck!
How to eat
Start slowly. Chew your food and really help your body digest the vitality from your chosen source of nourishment. Try to eat at a table without the distraction of the television, and treat mealtimes with total respect. Sometimes we overeat and become sluggish, which will affect our psychic ability. Become aware of the table and your surroundings − a vase of flowers or a candle can help induce a sense of calm while you are eating.
