“We should be proud to be spiritual” says psychic medium Lillyanne

Psychic medium Lillyanne on the magic that happens when we celebrate who we are
I’m often asked what it’s like, living with my ‘abilities’, as so many of you call them. For me, it’s hard to answer this, as I don’t see them as abilities – they’re just part of who I am and they’re all I’ve ever known. One thing I can tell you for certain though, is having this life-long connection to Spirit has undoubtedly saved my life.
We’ve all experienced tough times and I have faced what feels like a downpour of heartache and a whirlwind of sadness throughout my life. If it weren’t for my Star People keeping me going, I wouldn’t have made it through those difficult moments.
Many of you know already that in September 2016, I lost my beautiful son Jack. Without my abilities and my Star People there to guide me, I would never have survived that. They showed me that there is a life after death, that my boy was safe and well, and that he was not alone. When I put it into perspective in that sense, l am blessed to have such a deep and genuine connection with the spirit world, and it’s helped me cope immensely.
Not only has my spirituality helped me grow as a person, but it has also allowed me to create some unbreakable friendships that I’ll cherish forever. If it weren’t for my Star People lighting the way, I would have never met the incredible psychic medium Derek Acorah, or his wonderful wife Gwen. These two have been an enormous support for me and although Derek sadly passed away earlier this year, I know that he’s always nearby.
Another special connection I’ve made is with Joy on the Soul & Spirit’s team. She took a chance on me and now she feels like family – if it weren’t for her belief in me, you would not be reading this here today.
Being spiritual isn’t something you should be ashamed of, it’s something to be proud of. Having a connection to the spirit world is amazing and wonderful and magical all at the same time. We all need to learn to embrace our differences, because being different is what makes us who we are. Once you start to do this, you can truly thrive and become the best version of yourself. Believe in yourself, don’t give up, and you will succeed.

An affirmation for self-compassion and pride
Performing a ritual or speaking a positive passage aloud can be extremely calming and rehabilitating for the soul. Try repeating this one to yourself tonight, before you go to sleep, and any time that you are feeling down.
I hold my head high because I am proud of who I am,
For it’s my differences that make me unique, whole and beautiful.
I create my own path, my own destiny,
And I choose to see light in the darkest corners.
I have the ability to achieve everything I want in life.
I am strong, I am proud, I am enough.
