7 Easy Ways To Stop Being Negative… NOW!

It’s time to start looking on the bright side with these easy ways to stay happy and stop being negative
1. Walk away from time-wasters
When it comes to helping others, learn to walk away from those who waste your time – question how important the favour you’re about to do is and prioritise. Don’t sacrifice your own happiness for other people. If you’re not able to help out, don’t commit. Others have to accept that you have a life, too.
2. Enjoy yourself
Do things that make you feel good – take a bath, go on a spa break, start a new cookery course… start enjoying life. Spend more time on the things that make your happy. Have more fun with friends, start dreaming about things you want to do and share your ideas so you are spreading and sharing the loving vibes.
3. Embrace self-love
A good way to stop being negative is to make a list of things you love about yourself. Recite them daily when you look in the mirror to encourage self-appreciation. Stop putting yourself down – focus on the positivity around you.
4. Meditate
If you feel that you have a to-do list that goes on endlessly, and that you never seem to get anything done, spend some time meditating. Meditation, just like most creative activities, is a wonderful way to ‘bend time’. With practise, it can help you achieve clarity and focus, and actually help you use the time you do have more productively.
5. Move forward
If you have a fear of moving forward due to past mistakes. Listen to upbeat, motivational music with powerful lyrics. Get exercising, too – great mood boosters include running, cycling and swimming due to the happy hormones they release.
6. Get journalling
Keep a journal on your present story, in the here and now. Breathe and envision that tale-changing positively. Write down your dreams and focus on achieving those goals.
7. Stop fearing failure
Try not to become fixated on failure if you try something new. Have faith and remember that the best we can do is our best. Breaking the mould is the way forward if you feel you’re stuck in a boring routine. Repeat the affirmation: “I will love the unknown.” Think of the unknown as a chance to learn more about yourself and the outside world – you may find new skills you never knew you had, meet new people and have new experiences that are life-changing.
