5 Amazingly Easy Ways To Shine Your Light On The World

You are a blessing so if you’re not already, it’s time that you start shining your light in the world. Thankfully, Deborah Chalk is on hand to share her tips on how you can do just that!
1 Recognise your light
The first step to shining your light is to recognise the light within you. The light within you is more that what you think you are good at or what past reports have said about you.
Notice when you are doing what you love or what really matters to you and notice how that feels within your body. When you do this you trace your own light, like an adventurer tracing a finger over a treasure map.
2 See the light in others
It is only by recognising the light in others that we can truly shine our own light. When I see what is wonderful about my daughter when she creates paper fairies to sit around her desk, my own light shines brighter.
There’s a balance between recognising the light in others and beginning to go into comparison.
When you recognise what you admire about others, notice that what you see in them is already in you. That’s why you are able to notice it.
3 Allow
You’re allowed to be brilliant. You’re allowed to let your light shine.
‘It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?’
Marianne Williamson A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles, Harper Collins, 1992.
I once auditioned for a supporting part in the amateur musical ‘Call Me Madam.’ The part of Madame Ambassador was big and bold and brassy. The part I auditioned for was that of sweet princess Maria. The universe wanted me to be big and bold and so chose a different part for me than the one I auditioned for.
4 Meditate and be mindful
Being present to you breath and to the moment helps your light to shine. Without this stillness your light can be lost in your to do list and schedules.
You can include meditations that focus on the chakras and on white light.
At the end of your meditation time ask for guidance from your intuition and just listen for what comes and write it down. This will help you track new ways that your light is meant to shine.
5 Move and play
As much as light requires stillness, it also requires you to move and play. Do what’s fun for you, do what you are inspired to do, allow the expansion of your light by following your intuition.
Shining your light in the world is your reason for being here and if you encourage it and allow it, it will make your path and journey as rich and luminous as it’s meant to be.
