3 Crystal Meditations You Need For Your Chakras!

It’s hard to resist gazing at an attractive stone, and crystals are an ideal focus for meditation. Find a quiet place to meditate, and let the stone help you release negative vibrations and absorb good ones, depending on your aim for contemplation and what you intend the gemstone to do. Always prepare by centring and grounding yourself before trying the following meditations…
Useful gemstones for chakras
Crown chakra stones: Amethyst, Ametrine,
Third Eye chakra stones: Apatite, Apophyllite
Throat chakra stones: Azurite, Celestite
Heart chakra stones: Danburite, Emerald
Solar plexus chakra stones: Jade, Pyrite
Sacral chakra stones: Tangerine Quartz, Tiger’s Eye
Root chakra stones: Smoky Quartz, Shungite
Chakra Meditation
You will need a selection of crystals in many colours that link to the chakras for this exercise (see our ‘useful gemstones’ guide above). This is both a healing exercise for balancing the chakras and a meditation
1 Assemble your chosen stones of the root chakra. Pick the one that most attracts you. Hold it in both hands for a few minutes. Let its motivating and stabilising energy flow through you.
2 Repeat this process for each of your other chakras in order. Choose an orange stone for your sacral chakra and absorb from it the energies of creativity, flow, healing and pleasure; a yellow or gold stone for your solar plexus chakra and to absorb organisation and clarity; a green or pink stone for your heart chakra and to absorb the qualities of calm and balance; a turquoise or light blue stone for your throat chakra and to encourage peace and communication; a dark blue stone for your brow chakra and to absorb intuition and insight; or a violet, white or clear stone for your crown chakra and to absorb vitality.
3 Finish by selecting one stone from all the colours in front of you. Hold it for a moment and sense it restoring equilibrium to all your energies.
Pink Heart Star Meditation
The colour pink is excellent for reducing fear, aggression, anger, irritation and misunderstanding. Pink stones protect us from all forms of negativity
1 Search through your collection of crystals for five pink stones that you find particularly appealing.
2 Sit on the ground and place four of the stones around you – one to the front, back, left and right.
3 Hold the fifth stone in your hands. Focus your attention on your heart chakra. Close your eyes and imagine a spark of bright pink light coming to life in the centre of your chest. See that pink spark begin to shine like a star, increasing in strength and radiance, filling your body with a strong pink glow. As the glow spreads outwards, visualise it touching the stone that you are holding. The glow continues to spread until it reaches the stones around you. Imagine that each stone also begins to radiate pink light from a star at its centre.
4 Maintaining the pink heart star immediately around you, see the pink light continue to radiate out into your surroundings. Imagine the light touching the hearts of people you know and sparking stars in them.
5 Continue this meditation as long as you wish, focusing particularly on directing the light towards anyone with whom you are having difficulties. To end the meditation, simply allow the light and your attention to return to the stones around you, then to the one in your hand, and finally to your heart. Allow the colour gradually to fade away, then open your eyes.
Clear Quartz Healing Meditation
You will need a selection of crystals in many colours that link to the chakras for this exercise (see our ‘useful gemstones’ guide above). This is both a healing exercise for balancing the chakras and a meditation
1 Once you are comfortable, begin a rhythmic breathing sequence by inhaling deeply through the nose, then exhaling from the mouth.
2 As you breathe in, visualise a cleansing white light entering your body and filling your heart with warm, glowing sensations and radiance.
3 As you exhale, visualise any negative energy like tensions, confusion, arguments and stress leaving your body through your mouth in dark clouds of energy.
4 Pick up your Clear Quartz crystal with your left hand and begin to gaze into it. Take in and observe its unique patterns and features. Can you see rainbows? Wisps? Allow your energy to merge with your crystal. Hold your crystal in both hands. Feel the gem’s energy flowing into your hands. Your hands and body may receive some form of vibrational energy that feels very relaxing. This is the time to speak any affirmations or mantras that you feel are relevant to your practice. When you are ready to come out of a meditative state, start to focus on your breathing and then slowly open your eyes.
