10 Things You Need To Know About Orbs In Pictures

Ever wondered if there’s more to a floating object in your photograph? Jenny Smedley reveals more about orbs and how to capture them…
1: Pets and orbs
Your pet can often alert you to the presence of real spirit orbs by their behaviour. If you see your dog or cat chasing something around when there’s nothing to chase (i.e. no light sources/spots, reflections, shadows etc), and especially if they seem a bit distressed by it, run and get your camera. This might be your best chance to photograph a genuine orb or multiple orbs.
2: The light of orbs
Even if your ‘orb’ turns out to have a rational explanation, don’t despair, as angels and spirits do sometimes use natural light anomalies. So, if you’ve asked a question and an orb appears in your next photo, it could still provide you with an angelic answer.
3: Shapes of orbs
If your orb takes on the shape of a creature or unusual object, such as a dragonfly or a spiral, it’s worth looking up the spiritual definition of such things. You may find a message there that resonates with you. Spiral = growth and evolution. Dragonfly = pure potential.
4: Colours
Orbs come in all colours and sometimes in several colours at once. It’s a good idea, if you capture coloured orbs, to study the spiritual meanings of colours and see if there’s a message for you. Or, it could be that you’re being guided to use certain crystals in your life.
5: Obscured orbs
One sure-fire way to tell if your orb is a real spiritual phenomenon is if it appears partially obscured by an object in the photo. Smears on lenses, and dust motes, do not appear this way.
6: Focus!
If you capture a particularly clear shot of an orb, upload it into a graphics programme so that you can enlarge it as much as possible. You might well discover a face at the centre of it, and if you’re really lucky, you might even recognise it.
7: Create orbs
Try asking a passed-over loved one to produce an orb for you, and then take some photos in a favourite place of theirs or of someone they loved. If an orb appears on demand in this way, it will be very convincing. If this happens multiple times then you’ll have real proof.
8: Try two cameras
If you routinely get orbs in certain places or at certain times, try using two cameras simultaneously, as this will give you a different angle and may provide you with answers as to what your orbs really are.
9: Video the orbs
When taking photos in a place you’ve seen orbs in before, make sure you take several shots in rapid succession, or better still, try a video. This way, if you have a fast moving orb, you should capture the movement. Orbs can move across a room far quicker than a dust mote or water droplet can move.
10: There’s more to it
Many sceptics will say that orb photos only became common-place with the advent of digital cameras, and that this proves they are mechanically created. However, eminent scientists, such as Professor William Tiller, have told us that what we see with our physical eyes comprises of only 10% of the known universe. So it makes sense that a new invention, such as the digital camera, may help us see more, and that the ‘more’ could be spiritual in nature.
