Get back in touch with nature on this soulful break
One Soul & Spirit reader can win themselves a four-night adventure at KUDHVA. Cornish for ‘hideout’, it’s based a mile inland from Trebarwith Strand − one of the most impressive beaches in North Cornwall. KUDHVA is set in a 45-acre disused quarry with 180° views of the coastline. The quarry pit is now a hidden lake, fed by a waterfall, and the southern edge of the site provides a stone walled wild swimming reservoir. It is also home to the Grade II-listed Engine House, built in 1870.
A totally off-grid site, the dream was to create a space which takes you away from the everyday, celebrating the sustainable, encouraging you to be creative and creating a passive learning movement. There are four specially-designed KUDHVA, each offering their own secluded slice of this ever-changing environment, with a landscaped area beneath, as well as a fire pit. Their communal kitchen, reception building and showers allow you to still experience outside living while cooking, eating and socialising. Louise, the soul behind KUDHVA, cannot wait to welcome the lucky winner!
