Try this simple hack from David Hamilton to give fate a helping hand
When we think about manifestation, most people think of money, love or career success. While these are worthy pursuits, they’re also quite general. More specifically, I believe that some things are meant for you; they’re your destiny. And if you choose them, the path is often easier.
Think of it like being on a canoe on a wide river. Your mind and your intentions represent your paddle. You can paddle left, right, forwards, backwards or even round and round in a circle, as many people do. This is how we use the Law of Attraction. But if you stop paddling for a moment and look, you’ll see that the river has a current. It’s already flowing in a particular direction and a lot of the time we’re not paddling with it but against it. I believe that we each have individual currents in our lives, like river currents, and they lead us towards things (and people) that are good for us. The question is, how do you know where a current is heading?
The answer is: notice what inspires you! In a very true sense, this is what going with the flow really means. If you choose what calls to you, then you start to move in the direction of your destiny and towards the things you want.
Now try something new
Identify and choose your currents
1 Take a pen and paper and write down the answers to the following questions.
•What makes you feel alive?
• What makes your consciousness feel expanded?
• If it didn’t matter how something was possible, what would you choose to be doing?
•What brings you joy?
• What made you feel happy and free as a child?
• What makes you feel happy and free as an adult?
•Who makes you happy?
•Who makes you feel most like yourself?
2 Take as long as you need. Sometimes, if answers don’t come immediately, it helps to just meditate on the questions for five or ten minutes and then leave them. You’ll then find that answers will start to come to you over the following few days.
3 Now go through your answers and identify where your inspiration and joy lies. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how something could happen. The ‘how’ isn’t nearly as important as the direction. Once you move into a current by choosing it, the ‘how’ often becomes clear by itself.
4 Now, decide that this is where you want to go or what you want to do. Simply decide. Write it down as a goal and imagine you are living it right now. Is there an action you could take today, however small (even a gesture) that shows you are choosing this direction? If so, then take that action.
