With the colder weather (and darker evenings), it’s hardly surprising many of us are feeling a little flat at the moment. However, there are lots of ways you can nip those winter blues in the bud promptly, and actually enjoy this time of year. Try some of the following tips to instantly lift your mood.
1 Express thanks
Start the day with a prayer of gratitude. Focus on all the wonderful things (your family, friends, health, career) in your life at present, and thank the universe for each one. This will immediately raise your energy level, and help you attract more of the same.
2 Stay present
Appreciate each and every day, experience and conversation you have with others.
Many of us spend far too much time thinking about the future (and what we’ll be doing next), rather than enjoying things as they happen.
3 Treat yourself
Flowers are a great way of enhancing the yang (positive) energy in your home. Buy yourself a big bunch of brightly coloured ones, and place them on your desk or coffee table.
4 Get noisy
If you feel like the energy in your home’s a little off key, try walking around your abode with a singing bowl or some Indian bells, and ringing them as loudly as you can.
