Work deadlines, social events and family time – do you ever find yourself struggling to prioritise and make decisions concerning everyday demands? Or maybe it’s life’s bigger questions that you ponder about when day-dreaming at your desk. If you’re unsure of where to direct these questions, we’ve found the answer: pendulums.
Pendulum dowsing in the spiritual sense, is an age-old psychic tool used to help tackle tough decisions by helping us find answers from higher energy. That said, as with any form of divination, using a pendulum involves a certain degree of belief in your own power and a decidedly open mind. Here, psychic Liz Dean reveals the six quick start steps o using your pendulum.
Ground and protect yourself before you begin. Imagine you’re in a bubble of light and that you have roots growing from your feet
Now attune with your pendulum – hold it with your thumb and forefinger by its chain or cord in your dominant hand, resting your elbow on a table
Now ask a question with a ‘yes’ response, for example, ‘Is my name Liz?’. See how it moves, then ask a ‘no’ question. Note: if you get the same movement for yes or no, the pendulum you’re using isn’t right for you – choose an alternative
Ask to be connected only with beings of pure light – your guides and angels. Sense them with you, and feel the connection in your body, generating feelings of openness
Think carefully about your question, make it direct and simple. Try to let go of any expectations you may have about the answer
If your answer isn’t clear, the pendulum won’t move in an obvious way, so ask again up to three times . If your pendulum is stationary with a slight tremble, now is not the time for this question
