Do you know what creativity really is? Painting, writing and drawing are all creative pursuits, but the ability to create something original isn’t just for the talented few. You’re being creative if you write down your personal thoughts in a specific journal, or colour a picture in a unique way. If you make a piece of jewellery using your favourite crystals. Every single person has within them the ability to manifest their own creative expression. Experiment with your own inspiring exercises and identify what works for you.
How do I activate my creative powers?
Becoming absorbed in creative expression allows your mindfulness to become activated, which in turn gives space for your intuition to bloom and grow. Acclaimed creators throughout history, such as Vincent Van Gough, Beethoven and Shakespeare have recorded sensing an energy or hearing a voice in the midst of their paintings and compositions; they’ve experienced a ‘download’ of intuitive energy that has enabled them to complete their creative projects. These inspiring men and women produced some of the world’s most memorable expressions of creativity by giving their intuition space to expand and receive guidance from a higher vibration.
How do I use my hidden powers?
Begin your chosen creative exercise however restless you feel without expectation of outcome. Observe your breathing and how it starts to slow down, allow your intrusive thoughts to minimize, and as you begin to relax you will feel present and at ease with yourself. You may begin to receive unexpected ideas as your mindful approach opens up your intuition, activates your higher chakras, and empowers you to receive communication from your Spirit Guides and Angels.
A mantra for creativity
Some of us find it easier to begin with an end goal in mind; it provides a reason and a purpose for beginning in the first place. So, rather than going with the flow and allowing your creativity to intuitively express itself, decide what you want to achieve during your creative process and create an original mantra to go along with it, for example: ‘even though I’m angry and upset I will write down my thoughts until I achieve a solution to my fears.’
Now try something new:
Connect with your crystals
Gather together your crystals, whether that’s five or fifty-five. Then, with a soft cloth, begin to gently and mindfully polish them all. Repeat this mantra for each different crystal, changing the name as you go: ‘Thank you ‘amethyst’ for your intuitive energy that blesses my life. I am ready now to mindfully allow my creativity to flow and to expand my intuition.’
Once you’ve treated your crystals to some TLC and gratitude, take a moment to sit quietly and deepen your intuition with the following mindfulness affirmation:
‘I am present in my life and aware of my connection to my creativity. My creative expression allows my mindful presence to manifest. What I say, do, and decide in this moment influences my future self and my future life. I endeavour to become mindfully empowered from now on. I am at peace in this moment and every moment. And so, it is.
