Have you ever heard of golden milk? Derived from Ayurvedic traditional practice, this hot new drink is one trend that you can try easily at home. Nicknamed ‘golden’ due to the presence of turmeric, it’s since been taken to the next level – to the moon, in fact! 1 tsp organic coconut oil or ghee
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground turmeric
1/4 tsp ground ginger
Pinch of ground nutmeg
Freshly ground black pepper
300ml nut milk, such as coconut milk
1 tsp honey (optional)
Lavender or rose powder (optional)
1 Heat coconut oil in a small saucepan over a medium-low heat. Add in the spices and a pinch of black pepper. Whisk up the ingredients and allow them to warm.
2 Add the milk and reduce the heat to low. Whisk out any lumps and keep on the heat for five minutes. Add honey if using.
3 Serve straightaway, either after meditation, healing work or before bed.
