Give these handy tips a go for a simple and easy meditation practice…
1 Start early
Don’t lase in bed! Good days start with a mindful cleanse. Mediate first thing in the morning before engaging with the outside world. You’ll feel calmer, clearer and more tuned-in.
2 Get comfy
Sit for a length of time that you feel comfortable – don’t force things and meditate for as long as you need – whether that’s 10 minutes or an hour. It’s better to start small and do things little and often – consistency is key!
Focus on your breath on a mantra and allow your thoughts to come and go without engaging them. Switch off that little voice in your head that is always speaking.
4 Get clear on your mantra
Refocus on your breath or mantra as often as needed. Don’t switch mantras – stick with the one you originally chose to meditate on.
5 No judgement
Do not judge your meditation session or yourself when it is over. Simply end with a positive intention or prayer for your day and move forward. Carry this connected feeling of peace into your life.
